Any kind of blood loss caused in the GI tract ranging from mouth to rectum is called as gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Gastrointestinal hemorrhage can lead to various other metabolic abnormalities in the body. It is of two types upper gastrointestinal bleeding and lower gastrointestinal bleeding in which upper GI bleeding causes more deadly conditions. It can be diagnosed by blood test or undergoing endoscopy procedure to locate the bleeding location.

Gastrointestinal Pathology deals with treatment and diagnosis of diseases associated with digestive tract, liver and pancreas. It also deals with small and large intestine abnormalities. Gastrointestinal Pathology is a subspeciality of surgical pathology and it categories neoplasmic and non-neoplasmic diseases of the accessory organs of GI tract. It provides high quality diagnostic histopathology by endoscopic, biopsies and resections of the gastrointestinal and pancreatico-biliary systems.

The GI tract is a complex system affected by micro-organisms harming GI microflora, digestion balance, enzymes functioning.  Mucosal lining of GI tract serves as a protective barrier so that to inhibit the flow of ingested matter from one part to other parts of the body. Once infected it is prescribed to take the nutrient medicines in the natural form (fruits or juices) or in pills format to enhance the metabolic rate of the digestive organs. It is equally important to both men and women as hormonal fluctuation and disease prone activities are similar in both the cases.

Current research in gastrointestinal therapeutics and recent advancement targets pioneering efforts and innovative studies across all areas of gastroenterology.  We welcome your abstracts for both oral and poster presentation on Recent Advancement and current Research in Gastrointestinal Therapeutics.
